Disclaimer: Above all this decade has defined and refined my taste in contemporary music. This is the music that has most effected me over the last ten years. These are the albums that have given me the most to chew on musically and bands that have proved their longevity (and by that i mean: no one-offs (”Muse”, i’m looking at you…)).

DC Talk Tshirt – Vintage or Ironic, You Decide
[UPDATE] Disclaimer: I did not listen to DC Talk. Ever.
We have come into possession of a vintage/ironic DC Talk tshirt circa 1990. Stats:
- Size: XL
- 100% cotton
- Condition: Near mint – as far as i can tell it’s never been worn, but it has been in storage for a number of years
- SIGNED BY ALL THREE MEMBERS. Sharpied over their silhouettes, easily discernible: Toby, Kevin, Micheal. There is a fourth signature which is not readable, but it might say “McKean” based on its position.
- Front: DC TALK
- Back: Word 2 the Summer (Smaller: dc talk)

Desktop Wallpaper Project: 2
This is number two in the series. Also 1280 x 800. If this ends up being too small for some of those fancy high resolution monitors i’ll have to rethink my entire worldview. Get meandyou!
Desktop Wallpaper Project: 1
I’d like to do some graphical designs in the form of desktop wallpaper. They’ll be 1280 x 800, which is a decent resolution and should fit most of yer standard widescreen monitors. The goal is to promote the blog and do some design work, which i suppose is still my first love after all these years. So here’s #1. Enjoy!
Local Expert Speaks!
I was recently asked to comment on website design by a local newspaper. The result, a two page expose on the derth of well-designed municipal websites, will thrill and astonish you. This is only the second time in my life someone has published my opinion (the first was a review of a Sigur Ros show in Madison five years ago), and in spite of a few missteps i couldn’t be happier. My dear friend Erika, who is a PR professional, has chided me for the following sentence:
“…Politics aside, designers everywhere heaved a collective sigh of relief when the new whitehouse.gov went online because it proves that great design can be applied to extremely dense informational sites.”
Unfortunately, that’s how i write. I usually try to edit myself when i’m writing professionally, I think i failed on this occasion. Still — in this post i’ve used the words “derth”, “chided”, and “churlish” — so that really is my voice; i’m not just making stuff up to be churlish.
